Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rendore Labs, LLC (“Rendore,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Pricebook, our wholesale and B2B pricing application for the Shopify platform (the “App”). We built Pricebook to touch as little data as possible: it configures pricing inside Shopify and never sits in your storefront or checkout path.
This policy also covers Storeproof, our store-monitoring app for Shopify. The Storeproof-specific section below describes exactly what Storeproof accesses and stores; everything else in this policy (who we are, hosting, retention, your rights, security, contact) applies to both apps.
1. Who we are
For merchants in the EEA/UK, Rendore Labs, LLC acts as a data processor on behalf of the merchant (the data controller) for any personal data of the merchant’s customers that the App processes. Rendore is the data controller for the merchant’s own account and contact information.
2. What Pricebook does (and does not) access
When you install Pricebook, you grant it a limited set of Shopify permissions. We only request what the App needs to configure pricing:
| We access | Why |
|---|---|
| Your store’s domain and basic shop details | To identify your install and manage your subscription. |
| Customer tags and related customer records | To map the tags you already use to named pricing groups. We read tags to resolve group membership; we do not build customer profiles. |
| Product and collection data | To let you scope pricing rules to specific products or collections. |
| Discounts and app-owned metafields | To create and update the single automatic discount and configuration metafield that deliver your pricing at checkout. |
Pricebook does not:
- Collect, process, or store payment card or financial account data.
- Run any JavaScript on your storefront. Pricing is evaluated by Shopify’s own checkout infrastructure via a Shopify Discount Function.
- Modify your products, variants, or base prices. We write only app-owned metafields used for the optional tier-table display.
- Sell, rent, or share your data or your customers’ data with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Information we store
- Pricing configuration you create: group names, the customer tags they map to, rules, and quantity-break tiers.
- Operational records: your store domain, subscription/billing status, and an audit log of publish, pause, and verification actions.
- Authentication tokens provided by Shopify to keep the App connected to your store.
The App reads customer tags and product/collection references at configuration and publish time; it does not copy your customer list into a separate marketing database.
Storeproof — what it accesses and stores
Storeproof checks, once a day and after risky store events, that the prices and discounts real customers see still match what you set up. To do that:
- It reads products and discounts to price a test cart through Shopify’s own pricing engine. Nothing is created — no orders, no draft orders, no theme code, and no changes to your catalog.
- It stores the test customers you designate. When you create a scenario and enter a customer email, Storeproof resolves and stores that customer’s Shopify ID and a display label containing their email and tags. This is the only customer data Storeproof ever stores, and only for customers you explicitly choose as test buyers.
- It stores check results: the observed prices and pass/fail status for each scenario over time, so you have an evidence timeline.
- It receives event signals (a discount changed or was deleted, a theme was published) solely to re-run your checks promptly. The event content is not stored.
Deletion works the same way as for Pricebook: uninstalling purges the shop’s
data, customers/redact deletes any scenario that references the
redacted customer, and shop/redact performs the final sweep.
Storeproof never sells or shares any of this data.
4. How we use information
- To provide the App: build your pricing configuration and publish it to Shopify as an automatic discount.
- To verify that your live pricing still matches what you published, and to alert you if it drifts.
- To operate billing for your subscription through Shopify’s Billing API.
- To provide support you request and to keep the App secure and reliable.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions that produce legal effects.
5. Hosting and sub-processors
The App is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States. Our sub-processors are:
- Microsoft Azure — application hosting and database (United States).
- Shopify Inc. — the platform your store runs on; it provides the data the App reads and hosts the discount that delivers your pricing.
6. Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall Pricebook, Shopify immediately voids the App’s subscription and we delete your store’s configuration data. We honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks:
customers/data_request— we compile any customer data the App holds so you can respond to a request.customers/redact— we delete the identified customer’s data from the App.shop/redact— 48 hours after uninstall, we erase your store’s remaining data.
We retain a minimal, non-personal audit trail as required for compliance and accounting for a limited period, after which it is deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act). For your customers’ personal data, the merchant is the controller and should direct requests through the merchant; we support merchants in fulfilling them. To exercise a right or ask a question, email support@rendore.ai. We do not sell personal information.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect information and limit what the App collects in the first place.
9. Children
The App is a business tool for merchants and is not directed to children under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves or as laws change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the App.
